Install Openssh

  



I would like to install the Microsoft-provided OpenSSH client for Windows 10 on machines that do not have internet access. Typically the instructions for installing the OpenSSH client involve running a command like this in PowerShell: Add-WindowsCapability -Online -Name OpenSSH.Client0.0.1.0.

2- Download OpenSSH Server

Although the homepage of OpenSSH is openssh.com, to download OpenSSH Server for Windows, you have to download it from GitHub.

  • Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools > Services
Find and start 'SSHD Services'.

  • Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Firewall > Advanced Settings > Inbound Rules
  • Add new Rule for port 22.
